About Your UCI Accounts

UCI Health Account
  • Commonly referred to as your “HS Account”.
  • The UCI Health account is for employees working within the
    UCI Health system, including the UCI Medical Center, School of Medicine, and associated healthcare facilities.
  • Provides access to specialized health-related services, including electronic medical records (EMR), Email, Microsoft 365, and other healthcare-specific resources.

  • Below is an example of what the log-in screen looks like when using this account:

UCInetID (Campus)
  • Commonly referred to as your “Campus Account”
    or your “OIT Account”.
  • The UCInetID is a unique identifier assigned to all individuals affiliated with the University of California, Irvine (UCI).
  • It serves as the primary login credential for accessing various UC online services, such as the UC Learning Center, and UCPath.
  • Below is an example of what the log-in screen looks like when using this account:

Setup Your UCI Accounts

1. Reset UCI Health password

This section will walk you though the steps of resetting your UCI Health and UCInetID passwords. This will be your password for everything UCI related moving forward.

2. Setup DUO Mobile (2FA)

UCI Health uses Duo Security to add a second layer of security when accessing protected systems and services. Two-factor authentication adds an additional layer of security to your HS account by mitigating password compromise. 

3. Access M365 Apps/Email

This section will provide instruction and an example of how to log in to your Microsoft 365 account for accessing email and apps like Word, Excel, and OneDrive on the web.

4. Setting Homepage/Saving Favorites

In this final section you will set a new homepage for your web browser and learn how to save pages (like this one) to your favorites for future use.
